The Animal Control Division is operated under the direction of the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office. It responds to injured or stray domestic animals, nuisance-dog complaints, cruelty investigations and impounds, and enforces licensing and animal-control laws. The county does not publish a public Animal Control office address; call before going anywhere.

How to get help
Call 911 for an emergency animal call. For non-emergent animal calls, call 541-474-5123 and choose option 3; online reports are also available. For impounded animals, surrender, licensing or adoption, call Josephine County Animal Shelter at 541-474-5458. Animal Control does not respond to stray or feral cat colonies.
